After a long development phase a new stable release of KRename is available for download. KRename is a powerful batch file renamer for KDE, which can be used to rename lots of files at once. Thus it is a great help in managing your digital images or your music collection. In 3.0.0 we focused not only on adding new features but also on increasing the overall usability of the application.
Under Windows there is the Outlook/Exchange duo. Under Linux there is ...? Evolution is nice but, correct me, it's not an easy task to find a *free* groupware server on Linux where it connects to. On the other hand Kontact connects to free groupware servers like Kolab only. After reading the manuals I think Kolab is a PITA to setup.
A Task Force Team of KDE and Knoppix hackers and enthusiasts created "just
in time" for LinuxTag 2004 two
programs which harvested an overwhelming response from visitors: FreeNX
Server and kNX Client. Although not yet officially released, several
presentations showed a well working preview of the KDE version for the speed
boosting NX Terminal Server technology.
After almost a year and a half since its last release, a double-entry version of the KMyMoney personal finance management software for KDE is now available. Version 0.6 supports multiple account types, including credit cards, cash, savings, loans and mortgages.

Kommander is on its way to become one of the most compelling tools in KDE.
