This is chatbot plugin for Kopete based on \\\\\\\"MegaHAL\\\\\\\" (http://megahal.alioth.debian.org/).

The source currently contains only german training files. But you can find training files for other languages on the web. Copy them into the source directory before you install Khal. (They are compatible because the only thing I added to the MegaHAL brain was UTF8 support.)

I have only testet the program on Linux (openSUSE). But other will probably work, too.

BeShadowed 0.1
(KDE Improvement)
Since the Oxygen decoration paints it\'s own shadows, the shadow plugin got pretty stepchilded.

a) it\'s horribly imperformant (if I play a video it\'s causing ~2/3 of the kwin cpu load...)
b) it\'s broken with XRender & translucency
c) it could use some more options ;-)
d) The heavy exponential shadow is maybe nice, but neither realistic (real shdows cast rather sharp borders), nor effective (most of the HUGE shadow is so much translucent that you can hardly see anything of it...)

So I started to work on it.
Not much of a help for oxygen, but most other decorations (QtCurve has deco shadows as well), consistent and (hopefully) less artefact prone ;-P

Ultimately this should go back upstream but testing outside the release cycle won\'t hurt - i assume :)

Version 0.1 performance is up to decoration shadows for one window (heavy repaints in a video) but doesn\'t scale as good, there also might be artefacts left (didn\'t see any though) but good enough for a first version, i hopefully can speed up things even more

Kall 1.0
(KDE Telephony)
Kall is a small application to dial the telephone numbers in your address book
for you. It is used via kaddressbook or as a stand-alone application.

Under Settings/Configure Kaddressbook/Dial Phone Number, select External Application and
enter kall --dial "%N" as the command. Then you
can simply click on a phone number to dial it. Otherwise start kall from the menu
(under Office) and then drag entries from kaddressbook into the phone number
edit box.

If you enter all your telephone numbers in international format, i.e.
+cc-aaa-nnnn-nnnn where cc is the country code and aaa is the area code, Kall
will localise the number by stripping off the + and possibly the country code
and adding the appropriate dialling prefixes that you have entered in the Dialling Codes
settings. This way, if you travel to another country, you need only update the
settings with the local codes and do not need to change your address book entries.

TeXamator is written in Python/Qt4. It is aimed at helping you making your exercise sheets. Basically, it browses a specified directory, looks for .tex files containing exercices and builds a tree with all your exercises. You can click on an element of the tree to have a preview of the exercise sheet and then add exercises to a list if you wish to. Then you can save your work to a .tex file or you can generate a .dvi (or a pdf or a ps) file. Have a look at the screenshots (not up to date but they still give an overview of the programm) !

To use this program you will need :
LaTeX
dvipng
python-qt4

To start TeXamator, extract the archive, cd to the directory and just type :
python TeXamator.py

Alternatively, you can extract the archive, browse to the directory and double-click on TeXamator.py but if you can, prefer launching it in a shell to see LaTeX running in the background.

- the scrollbars work better and when you move up/down exercises from the list, changes are applied directly.

The search field now works a la google except that you don't have to click on any search button : it works on the fly.

v.1.4.9 : a tab has been added to the preferences menu where you can manage multiple headers so as to export your exercises with user-defined headers.
Synthax highlighting has been added everywhere. To keep the program fast, it has "bugs" : you can enter math mode by typing "$" and leave it with "\end{equation}".

v.1.3c : save button was bugged (encoding problem).

v.1.3b : fixed a bug with default compile options. If you downloaded v.1.3 and if you can't make it work, please download this new version and delete the file ~/.partielator/compile_seq

v.1.3 : if \begin{whatever} is not on the begining of a line, it will work anyway.
You can choose not to use the preview package.
You can choose how to compile your files (with pdflatex instead of latex for example).

v.1.2 : you can now edit the code of an exercise by double-clicking on it once you have added it to the list.
LaTeX is run only when necessary

v.1.1d : The icons have been changed. I now use the Crystal Diamond Icons that look awesome and the untar app weights only 520Ko, with all the icon and Qt Designer files !

v.1.1c : Files have been reorganized and the application now has its own icon (I'm not good at doing that so don't be surprised if it looks awful ;) )

v.1.1 : Main Window's layout has been greatly improved and is customizable.

v.1.0.9b : added a search field and a right click on an element of the tree will expand the tree under this element.
config files are now encoded in utf8.

v.1.0.5b : fixed a bug with the save button and translated the whole code in english (there where still some comments in french)

v.1.0.5 : you can now easily edit preferences and generate random exams

KCM webcam support 0.2.1
(KDE Improvement)
This is a modified version of Password & User Account section in System Settings, add webcam support for user image. This modification is based on Opencv library basically because it is multiplatform.

Is tested in KDE 4.4 (4.4.1)

Compile as tipical KDE application.
Extract files with
tar -xzf kcm.tar.gz

Enter to kcm directory
cd kcm/

Create a build directory
mkdir build

Exectue cmake:
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr ..

Then excute make

and finally install

make install (as root)

Enjoy!



IMPORTANT: In order to compile this files you need the OpenCV module, you can download from http://opencv.willowgarage.com/wiki/Getting_started?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=FindOpenCV.cmake

NOTE: When compiling you could have problems with a cvconfig.h, apparently this is a OpenCV bug but only need copy this file to your OpenCV's include directory.

SIR - Simple Image Resizer 2.0.2
(KDE Graphic Tool)
This new version is capable of use the dcraw software to convert and preview RAW image files.

SIR just needs dcraw to handle RAW images, if you don’t have dcraw sir will still working properly with regular image files.

If you want to install dcraw visit http://www.cybercom.net/~dcoffin/dcraw/ to instructions. To install in debian based systems just make: apt-get install dcraw.

A simple application for resizing images,inspired by GTPY - ImageResizer (www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=32338)
But I used C++/QT and QImage class to convert the images.
